The score-line doesn't do Kentisbeare the justice they deserve as this was a well contested and evenly balanced game with both sides at times playing some good football with concise passing.  The Blues went 1-0 around the 10 minute mark with some great build-up play that saw the Kentisbeare goalkeeper make two fine saves before a slight indecision and caught in no-mans-land the ball went beyond him.  Ten minutes later the Kentisbeare striker returned the favour, chipping the ball over the Blues' keeper after a great pass in to the danger area from Callum Burgin who had a superb game, working hard and delivering the ball to the feet of the Kentisbeare strikers in the danger area on countless occasions.  With the game going from end to end the Blues managed to score again just before the whistle for half time. 

The second half saw Kentisbeare start in the ascendancy with several chances to equalise in the early moments, with Burgin and Jake Burridge coming close.  Twenty minutes into the second half, after more confident goalkeeping from Kentisbeare's goalkeeper, the Blues finally broke down the Kentisbeare defence to poke in their third goal of the game after a goalmouth scramble.  The final goal of the game came two minutes later with great strike from distance by one the Blues' front players that gave the keeper no chance.  Both sides endeavoured to play football, but it was the Blues who came out on top by virtue of being able to finish their chances.

Lightning edged out a very competitive Watts Blake & Bearne YFC in this 9 goal thriller at Abbrook Park. After taking the lead through an early Isaac Furness goal Lightning fell behind 1-3, and despite creating several good chances they failed to take them.

With 10 minutes left Jimmy Hinds put a cross which Brad Palmer headed home. The Pins left it late equalising in the last minute of normal play. Again they fell behind almost from the kick off and again they drew level, before Jimmy Hinds latched onto a poor clearance by the home goalie - catching him off the line he fired into an open goal.

A real cup match with everthing - well done WBB YFC thanks for the great reception.

The Pins found some of their old form at the Rectory against a very honest and hard working Kentisbeare side. The game was well controlled by a very young referee who again was assisted by a young linesman - it is great to see the young lads getting involved, and there were no arguments regarding decisions.

The game was really decided in the first half when Lightning stormed to a 4-1 lead with Liam Amatruda getting his hat trick.

nyone who saw the great League game between these two sides a few weeks ago which finished 1 - 2, would never have dreamt this scoreline. 

The first half was very much like the previous encounter, with Bucks edging ahead through Sanders. He and Fath linked very well from the first whistle up front.  Bucks expected a second half onslaught from West Exe, but it never came.

Once the visitors went 3 ahead, the game lacked any sparkle as West Exe heads dropped. Further goals from Armbruster (2), Fath, Whiting, Clenahan, Knapman and Johnson completed the rout.

I don't think too much can be read into the final scoreline as heads did drop early in the second half, I'm sure the return League game will be another cracker.
